Dhaka, Nov 23 (V7N)- Following repeated earthquakes across the country, including Dhaka, Jagannath University (JU) has been declared closed for four days. Students have also been instructed to vacate the halls by 10 am tomorrow.

The decision was taken in an emergency meeting on Sunday, confirmed by JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Rezaul Karim. He stated, "We have announced the closure of class examinations until next Thursday, November 27."

A monitoring committee has been formed to inspect university buildings, with a report due by December 4. Further actions will be decided based on this report. Meanwhile, online classes will be conducted from November 30 to December 4.

Earlier, Dhaka University was closed for 15 days starting Saturday, and students were asked to vacate their residential halls by 5 pm on Sunday.
