RAJSHAHI, July 28 (V7N) – The first meeting of the World QS Ranking Committee of Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET) was held on Monday to discuss initiatives related to the university’s global ranking efforts.
The meeting was held at the Vice-Chancellor’s Conference Room on July 27, 2026, and was organised by RUET’s Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).
Professor Dr Md Mahmud Sazzad of the Department of Civil Engineering chaired the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Md. Rabiul Islam Sarker of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Professor Dr Md Maidul Islam of the Department of Chemistry, Professor Dr Shahed Mahmud of the Department of Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE), Professor Dr Md Zahirul Islam of the Department of Physics, Assistant Professor Md Rafiul Islam of the Department of Civil Engineering, Assistant Professor Utso Das of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Lecturer Md Raisul Azam Ruku of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), and Lecturer Junaid Imam Adib of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning (URP).
The committee discussed matters related to improving RUET’s position in the World QS Rankings and strengthening academic quality and institutional performance.
