New York, Mar 29 (V7N) ― Selena Gomez expressed her gratitude for the "very sweet" support she has received from her longtime friend Taylor Swift.

In an interview on Thursday, reporter Emily Curl asked Gomez how it felt to see Swift shout out her music over the weekend. "You know with Taylor I value her support and her opinion so much, because she's super honest," Gomez responded.

Swift had shared the cover art for Gomez’s new album, I Said I Love You First, on her Instagram story with the caption, "I LOVE THIS ALBUM SO MUCH OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDDD."

Gomez revealed that before any of her songs are released, she always plays her top picks for Swift. "I have always played her – off any of my albums – the top two I like to see and what she thinks."

The two have been friends for nearly two decades, and Gomez shared that Swift’s opinion is always honest and unfiltered. She recalled playing her song "Lose You to Love Me" for Swift before its release. "She and her amazing mom started crying, and then I started crying. It’s very sweet."

Gomez’s close bond with Swift continues to be an important part of her life and career, and she appreciates the emotional support her friend offers.
