LALMONIRHAT, July 03 (v7n): Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu announced that the government has allocated its highest-ever budget to the health sector for the current fiscal year, aiming to bring medical services directly to the public's doorsteps.

The Minister made the statement on Friday morning while inaugurating a newly established Kidney Dialysis Centre at the Lalmonirhat Diabetic Hospital in the town's Sonali Park area. Minister Dulu, who also serves as the Chairman of the hospital's Trustee Board, noted that upgrading healthcare standards at public hospitals remains a top priority, alongside extending state support to private healthcare networks.

Organized by the Sonar Bangla Foundation, the event was attended by local officials and medical heads, including Lalmonirhat Diabetic Association Member Secretary Retd. Brigadier General Niamul Islam Fatemi, Deputy Commissioner Md. Rashedul Haque Pradhan, and Civil Surgeon Dr. Abdul Hakim.
