DHAKA, June 02 (V7N): The government has appointed Mohammad Monirul Islam, an Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, as the new Director General (DG) of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

According to an official notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration, Islam has been assigned to the anti-graft watchdog on deputation. The deployment order was signed by Deputy Secretary Mohammad Noor-e-Alam, and administrative copies have been formally distributed to the Cabinet Division, the Prime Minister’s Office, and relevant line ministries for immediate execution.

Separately, a high-level cabinet meeting was held at the Bangladesh Secretariat today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. Following the session, Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Ghani briefed media representatives regarding the executive policy shifts and legislative directives finalized during the meeting, while Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary Md. Suzauddhowla coordinated the press briefing.
