Dhaka, Mar 09 (V7N) – Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has condemned the Magura child rape incident, calling it a serious violation of human rights.
He made these remarks while speaking at a teacher representative conference organized by the Ideal Teachers Federation at the National Press Club on Sunday (March 9).
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman emphasized that if Jamaat comes to power, its first priority will be reforming the education system. He highlighted the need to incorporate moral education into the curriculum to build a more ethical and disciplined society.
He also criticized the state of government-run educational institutions, claiming that many teachers receive salaries without properly fulfilling their duties.
Arguing that society is not moving in the right direction, the Jamaat chief urged teachers to approach their profession with passion and dedication. He stated that if educators perform their duties properly, both society and the state will ensure their well-being.
Dr. Rahman’s statements come amid widespread outrage over the Magura child rape case, which has sparked national discussions on law enforcement, justice, and social responsibility.
