Dhaka, Dec 19 (V7N) — BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Inqilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi, describing the incident as a tragic loss and a stark reminder of the human cost of political violence.
In a Facebook post late Thursday night (Dec 18), Tarique Rahman said he was deeply saddened by the brutal killing of Sharif Osman Hadi. He prayed for the salvation of the deceased, asking Allah to grant him eternal peace in Jannah. Following the July mass uprising, he served as the spokesperson of Inqilab Mancha, where he played a significant role in defending the rights of July movement activists, upholding democratic values, and safeguarding national interests.
Tarique Rahman also extended his heartfelt condolences to Hadi’s bereaved family members, relatives, and political colleagues. At the same time, he urged the interim government to conduct a swift and transparent investigation, arrest those responsible, and ensure exemplary punishment to deliver justice.
He further emphasized the need for collective efforts to guarantee the safety of every citizen, warning that no incident should be allowed to destabilize Bangladesh or undermine the country’s democratic aspirations.
