Dhaka, Dec 06 (V7N) The bustling streets of Hatirjheel came alive on Friday morning as about 1,500 participants joined The Athlete X’s half marathon competition under the inspiring theme, ‘Run for the Earth.’ The event featured three categories: a half marathon of 21.1 kilometers, a 7.5-kilometer race, and a 1-kilometer fun run.

The races kicked off with the 7.5-kilometer run at 6:10 am, followed by the 1-kilometer fun run at 6:20 am. The highlight of the event, the 21.1-kilometer half marathon, began at 6:30 am. Participants included men, women, and even children, all running with a shared commitment to personal health and environmental awareness.

The organizers emphasized the broader vision behind the event. “It’s not enough to focus on individual health,” a representative of The Athlete X explained. “We must also care for our environment to ensure a sustainable and beautiful planet. A healthy earth is the foundation for a healthy life.”
