Jan 13, (V7N) – The 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) draft, held in Lahore, brought great news for Bangladeshi cricket fans as three players—Nahid Rana, Rishad Hossain, and Liton Das—were picked by various franchises. These selections mark another milestone for Bangladeshi cricketers showcasing their talent in global T20 leagues.

Young pacer Nahid Rana, known for his raw pace, was picked by Peshawar Zalmi in the Gold category. Nahid's fiery performance during Bangladesh's Test series sweep against Pakistan last year had already made headlines, and his inclusion in a team featuring stars like Babar Azam and Saim Ayub is expected to provide him with invaluable experience. Despite being yet to debut in T20Is, his rising stature caught the attention of PSL scouts.

Wicketkeeper-batter Liton Das was acquired by Karachi Kings in the Silver category. Fresh off a record-breaking century in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Liton’s ability to deliver under pressure makes him a valuable addition to the Karachi squad. Liton is no stranger to the PSL, having previously played for the same franchise in 2021, and his recent form promises exciting performances ahead.

Leg-spinner Rishad Hossain was picked by Lahore Qalandars, also in the Silver category. While he missed a chance to play in the Big Bash League this season due to BPL commitments, his selection reflects his growing reputation as a potential match-winner. However, star players like Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman, listed in the Platinum category, went unselected, highlighting the fierce competition in the PSL draft.
