PARIS, March 14, (V7N) – France will host Scotland on Saturday in a decisive Six Nations clash, with the potential to secure head coach Fabien Galthié's second championship title. A win with four tries or more at the Stade de France would guarantee them the trophy, three years after their Grand Slam victory.
Despite a strong campaign, France has faced setbacks, including the injury of star scrum-half Antoine Dupont, who suffered a serious knee injury in their dominant win over Ireland. Galthié remains optimistic, saying, "It's our supreme objective… an ambition that is becoming a reality."
However, if France fails to secure victory, England and defending champions Ireland could still claim the title. Scotland, aiming for their first championship win since 1999, must defeat France and overcome a significant points difference to take the trophy. Head coach Gregor Townsend acknowledged the challenge, stating, "It's one of the biggest challenges to go to Stade de France and win."
With Maxime Lucu replacing Dupont, and minor changes on both sides, the match promises high intensity. Galthié warned his squad to stay "vigilant", adding, "You can't be happy with what you've done; we have to take the next step."
