Dhaka, Mar 25 (V7N) – Bangladesh's star cricketer Tamim Iqbal's health has improved, but he will remain under observation for 72 hours, doctors confirmed at a press conference at KPJ Hospital in Savar. If his condition remains stable, he is expected to be discharged soon. However, it will take three months for him to return to normal health.

Tamim fell ill during a Dhaka Premier League (DPL) match on Monday (March 25) at BKSP Ground No. 3. He was rushed to KPJ Hospital in Savar, where doctors diagnosed him with a heart block and implanted a stent immediately.

On Tuesday, Tamim made some progress, walking briefly in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU). He was also taken to a cabin to meet relatives before being moved back to the intensive care unit (ICU) for continued monitoring.

Fans, teammates, and well-wishers across the cricketing world have sent their prayers and best wishes for Tamim’s speedy recovery. Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga, Indian cricketer Manoj Tiwary, and commentator Harsha Bhogle have all expressed their support.

Beyond the sports world, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, film stars Shakib Khan, Arifin Shuvo, and Ziaul Faruk have also prayed for Tamim's recovery.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials are closely monitoring Tamim’s condition and will provide further updates on his recovery and return to cricket.
