Khartoum, Oct 01 (V7N) – The residence of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) ambassador in Sudan has been bombed, resulting in significant damage to the property. Fortunately, reports confirm that the ambassador is safe following the attack.

According to Deutsche Welle, the Sudanese army has acknowledged receiving the UAE's complaint regarding the incident but asserts that the attack was carried out by rebels linked to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE has directly accused the Sudanese army of being responsible for the bombing.

Sudan is currently engulfed in a civil war, with factions of the army rebelling against the RSF government and the army chief. The conflict has resulted in widespread violence, displacing millions of people who have fled to neighboring countries in search of safety. As the fighting continues, the situation in Sudan has reached critical levels, with fears of a major famine looming over the country.

The international community is closely monitoring the situation as humanitarian concerns grow amidst the ongoing conflict.
