Washington, D.C., jan 19, (V7N) – President-elect Donald Trump, along with his family, traveled to Washington, D.C. ahead of his inauguration ceremony on Saturday. They boarded an Air Force plane provided by President Joe Biden, making their way to the capital.
Trump’s private plane, "Trump Force One," was parked alongside the U.S. military plane at Palm Beach International Airport. Trump’s son Eric and his wife Lara boarded the private plane, according to Reuters.
Karoline Leavitt, spokesperson for the Trump-Vance transition team, shared on X (formerly Twitter), “The President and First Lady are leaving Mar-a-Lago now for Washington, DC, on a great journey of success for our country!”
Trump’s less than three-hour flight to Washington Dulles International Airport was aboard a specially configured Boeing 757-200, featuring the colors of blue and white with "United States of America" written on its side. Joining Trump on the flight were his wife Melania, daughter Ivanka, and her husband Jared.
After landing, Trump headed to his golf club in Sterling, Virginia, where he will join approximately 500 guests to watch a fireworks display and musical performances. The event will feature Leo Days, an Elvis impersonator, and tenor Christopher Macchio, who will perform the national anthem at Trump’s inauguration.
On Sunday, Trump will hold a rally with supporters at the Capital One Arena in downtown D.C., the day before his inauguration.
