Pabna, Jan 19, (V7N) - The Chatmohar Foundation has distributed over 400 blankets to underprivileged people in various areas of the upazila as part of their winter relief initiative.
The distribution ceremony began on Friday morning (January 17) at the Shaheed Minar premises of Chatmohar Upazila Parishad. The blankets were handed out to the poor in the municipal area. Prior to the distribution, a prayer session was held for the well-being of the people in need.
Notable attendees included former president of Chatmohar Press Club and editor of Daily Chalonbil, Rokibur Rahman Tukun; staff reporter of Channel 24, Shaheen Rahman; editor-publisher of Darpan TV 24, Sanjit Chakraborty Sona; director and host Rafique Islam; one of the coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Students’ Movement in Chatmohar, Hasanuzzaman Shuvo, and Sazidur Rahman Sejan; president of Chatmohar Foundation, Asif Arafat; vice president, Masud Parvez (Arif); general secretary, Abdur Razzak; office secretary, Zakirul Islam; education secretary, Sourav Karmakar; and other key members.
On Friday, the organization also distributed blankets in several areas including Faizjana, Shaikola, Haripur, Gunigaacha, Mathurapur, and Bilchalon unions. The distribution continued on Saturday (January 18) in Parshodanga, Dibigram, Mulgram, Nimaichara, and Handial unions.
