Crans-Montana, Jan 01 (V7N) – A massive explosion followed by a fire broke out during New Year celebrations in the Swiss tourist town of Crans-Montana, leaving multiple people dead and many others injured, according to reports by CNN and the BBC.

The explosion occurred after 1:00 am local time at the luxury Constellation Bar, triggering a large fire and causing panic among those present at the venue.

Swiss police confirmed that several people were killed in the incident, while many others sustained injuries. However, authorities have not yet released an official count of the casualties.
