Jordan, Iraq, and Lebanon have temporarily closed their airspace in response to the recent attack on Israel, citing concerns for the safety of their citizens. The closure was announced shortly after Iranian drone and missile launches targeted Israeli territory. However, after approximately 12 hours of closure, Jordan and Iraq have announced the reopening of their airspace.
According to reports from Al Jazeera news, Jordan's Civil Aviation Regulatory Authority stated that the airspace closure was implemented due to the security threat posed by Iranian drone and missile launches. The airspace has since been reopened following the resolution of the security situation.
Similarly, Iraq's aviation authority confirmed the reopening of the country's airspace after the security threat was addressed. Meanwhile, Israel Defense Force spokesman Daniel Hagari revealed in a press conference that Israel also faced attacks from Iraq and Yemen during the night.
It was reported that several drones dispatched from Iran, aimed at targeting Israel, attempted to pass through Jordanian airspace but were intercepted and destroyed by the country's air force. As tensions in the region remain high, neighboring countries are taking precautions to ensure the safety and security of their airspace and citizens.
