Buenos Aires, Sep 01 (V7N)- Lionel Messi has announced his decision to end his international football career, bringing an emotional close to a remarkable 20-year journey with the Argentina national team.
The Argentine superstar announced the decision in a three-page handwritten letter, using ordinary notepad pages to express his feelings about the end of his international career.
In the opening part of the letter, Messi reflected on the exhaustion and completeness he feels after giving everything to the national team.
“I have given and fulfilled everything. I have emptied myself, I have nothing more to give,” he wrote.
