Barcelona, Sep 01 (V7N)- Barcelona maintained their perfect start to the La Liga season with a commanding 5-2 victory over Rayo Vallecano, despite conceding an early goal at home.

Raphinha and Lamine Yamal both scored twice as Hansi Flick's side secured their third consecutive league victory.

The match got off to a difficult start for Barcelona. Rayo Vallecano took the lead in the 12th minute when Sergio Camello found the net, putting the hosts under early pressure.

Barcelona responded strongly and turned the match around within three minutes.

Raphinha equalised in the 19th minute before teenage sensation Lamine Yamal put Barcelona ahead with a superb left-footed finish.

Barcelona continued to dominate after the interval. An own goal by Rayo defender Luiz Felipe extended the hosts' advantage to 3-1.

Rayo refused to surrender, however, and Camello scored his second of the night to reduce the deficit and bring renewed excitement to the contest.

But Barcelona regained control in the closing stages. Raphinha scored his second goal to restore the two-goal advantage before Yamal completed his brace with a fine finish in the final minute.

The 5-2 victory gave Barcelona their third straight La Liga win and kept Flick's side at the top of the table with nine points from three matches.
