PARIS, Oct 10, V7N-Just hours after former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp was named head of Red Bull's football operations, the energy drinks giant has been linked with a potential takeover bid for French second division side Paris FC. According to a source familiar with the matter, discussions are underway between Red Bull and Paris FC, along with the Arnault family, who own the luxury conglomerate LVMH.

Neither the Arnault family nor Paris FC provided comments when approached by AFP. Paris FC president Pierre Ferracci, who has been at the helm since 2012, has expressed his intention to step down, making way for new ownership.

Currently leading Ligue 2, Paris FC is often overshadowed by Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), which is owned by Qatari investors. Red Bull, known for its sports investments, already owns football clubs like RB Leipzig, Red Bull Salzburg, and New York Red Bulls, in addition to running the Formula One team of reigning champion Max Verstappen.
