Nov 18, (V7N) - Nick Bosa, the San Francisco 49ers' All-Pro defensive end, aggravated a hip injury and injured his other hip during the 49ers' 20-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. Bosa, who had been dealing with a hip issue leading into the game, was listed as questionable but suited up and played through the pain. Despite the injury, he recorded 1 1/2 sacks, four tackles, and two tackles for loss before being forced to leave the game.

Bosa's injury occurred after a third-quarter sack of Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith. Following the sack, Bosa limped off the field and did not return to action. "I guess I was compensating, pushed through last week," he said. "And the same thing happened to my other oblique. So, see what I'm feeling like (Monday)."

When asked about the possibility of missing time, which could affect the 49ers' playoff push, Bosa expressed concern, noting, "It's definitely there. I don't know, I gotta see."

The Seahawks took advantage of Bosa's absence, scoring their first touchdown on the same drive Bosa left, taking a 13-10 lead. Without Bosa on the field, Smith ran for a 13-yard touchdown with 12 seconds remaining, securing the win for Seattle.

"It's brutal," Bosa said about watching the Seahawks' comeback from the sideline. "The most important time in the game for me to be out there, and I wasn't able to be. I hate missing time, that's why I pushed through last week. Hopefully, it's not too long."

Bosa, selected No. 2 overall by the 49ers in the 2019 NFL Draft, has had an outstanding career, making four Pro Bowls and being named NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2022 after a career-high 18.5 sacks. So far this season, in 10 starts, Bosa has tallied 7 sacks, 36 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and 1 interception. He has 60.5 sacks and 245 tackles in 78 career games (76 starts).
