The Los Angeles Lakers' struggles deepened Wednesday with a crushing 134-93 defeat to the Miami Heat, marking their worst performance in a difficult stretch. This 41-point loss follows a 29-point defeat to the Minnesota Timberwolves, leaving the Lakers with six losses in their last eight games.

First-year head coach JJ Redick didn't mince words about the team's performance:

"I'm embarrassed, we're all embarrassed," Redick said. "It wasn't a game where I thought we had the right fight or professionalism ... there's not a sense from me that we're together right now."

Redick pointed to fundamental breakdowns on both offense and defense, stating that the team struggled to follow even basic strategies. Miami capitalized on these lapses, with guard Tyler Herro scoring 31 points, including nine three-pointers. The Heat also tied their franchise record with 24 made three-pointers.

LeBron James, who scored 29 points on efficient shooting (12-of-18), echoed Redick's frustration:

"It sucks for sure to get your ass whipped like that twice in a row."

Despite the team's poor form, James emphasized the importance of maintaining composure:

"I never get too high, never get too low, because I know how fast it can turn," said the 22-season veteran, who turns 40 this month.

The Lakers, now 12-10 and sitting ninth in the Western Conference, will hope to regroup as they face the Atlanta Hawks on Friday to close their road trip.
