Rome  Feb 4 (V7N) - Napoli has secured the signing of AC Milan forward Noah Okafor on loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy, the club announced Monday.

Okafor, 24, joins the Serie A leaders following the departure of Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who made a high-profile move to Paris Saint-Germain in January for a reported €70 million ($72 million).

Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis welcomed the Swiss international in a social media post, writing on X, "Welcome Noah."

The Italian club had reportedly pursued Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi and Fenerbahce’s Allan Saint-Maximin before turning to Okafor, who has struggled for game time at Milan. Since joining from Austrian side Salzburg in July 2023, Okafor has scored just one goal in 11 Serie A appearances.

Napoli currently sits three points ahead of second-placed Inter Milan and will host Udinese on Sunday as they push to defend their league title.
