Taskin Ahmed and Rishad Hossain led the charge with stellar bowling, claiming two wickets each.

Despite a valiant effort from Sri Lankan opener Kusal Mendis, who scored a blazing 86 off 55 balls, including six fours and six sixes, the rest of the batting lineup struggled to make an impact. Dasun Shanaka's unbeaten 19 off 9 balls was the second-highest contribution for the visitors.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto relied on his bowlers to exploit the conditions favoring the batters in the latter part of the game.
