Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior expressed his diminishing desire to play football amidst a series of racial abuse incidents directed at him in Spain, speaking tearfully during a media appearance on Monday.

The Real Madrid forward has been subjected to abuse from opposing fans on multiple occasions in recent years, with one particularly egregious incident in Valencia last May sparking widespread outrage.

Ahead of Spain's clash against Vinicius' Brazil at Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday, under the banner "One Skin" to combat racism, Vinicius addressed the media, revealing the toll of the racial abuse he has endured in various Spanish stadiums.

"I've been witnessing this racism for a long time, and with each occurrence, I feel increasingly disheartened and lose more of my desire to play," Vinicius revealed during a news conference, at times breaking down in tears.

Despite the challenges he faces, Vinicius declared his intention to remain in Spain and continue playing, refusing to yield to the racist abuse. "Leaving would only grant victory to the racists," asserted the 23-year-old. "I will stay at the world's best club, scoring as many goals as possible to keep them watching."
