The Twiston-Davies crew has targeted Lingfield's Winter Million Festival as they strive for substantial financial gains, with their remarkable seven-year-old contender, Master Chewy. After a smooth transition to bigger obstacles this year, the male horse is ready to keep progressing in the beginner chasing competition at Lingfield in the upcoming weekend.

Master Chewy, who struggled in hurdling competitions last season, has demonstrated improved skills in his chasing competitions this year. Following a remarkable initial victory, he encountered tough rivals in subsequent races and secured a second-place finish against highly talented contenders Djelo and Elixir De Nutz. Nonetheless, he made a strong recovery at Kempton during the Christmas season, achieving an easy win in the Grade Two Wayward Lad Novices' Chase. This triumph led to an increase in his rating by 10lb to 150, which demonstrates the advancements of Master Chewy. The Twiston-Davies group is currently contemplating two possible choices at Lingfield's Winter Million Festival – either more highly ranked participation in the Lightning Novices' Chase or a chance at the £50,000 Godstone Handicap Chase on the last day of the three-day event.

Willy Twiston-Davies, Nigel's helper, expressed contentment with Master Chewy's post-Kempton state, mentioning, "He's emerged from Kempton in a very good state." The group is enthusiastic about the gelding's possibilities and is eager to back the Lingfield event, highlighting the significance of participating in the two jumps days.

With two entries for Master Chewy at Lingfield next weekend, fans of horse racing can look forward to an exhilarating display of the gelding's skills. The Winter Million Festival in Lingfield, which will be shown live on Sky Sports Racing starting on Friday, January 19, offers not just exciting contests but also substantial cash rewards.
