Gazipur, Oct 11 (V7N) – BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said that anyone can demand the Lotus symbol during the election campaign, but there is no reason to involve the BNP or its “Sheaf of Rice” symbol in the discussion.

He made the remarks while speaking at the party’s primary membership collection and form distribution program at Rajbari Ground in Gazipur city on Saturday (October 11) afternoon.

Rizvi said, “Lotus is a national symbol, and people have a special respect for it. The NCP wants this symbol, and that is their right. But why is the Sheaf of Rice being dragged into this? It’s a symbol that has existed for 47 years.”

He further warned that any attempt to create obstacles or divisions in the election process would bring no good for anyone. Rizvi also emphasized that those involved in criminal or anti-social activities would not be allowed to become members of the BNP.

Later, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi inaugurated the Ponamasch Abhut program in Belaibile, accompanied by local leaders and activists.
