Moscow, June 18 (V7N) – Russia has strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, labeling them illegal and calling for an immediate cessation. The statement was issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday and confirmed by Reuters.

The Russian government described Iran’s nuclear program as peaceful and emphasized that the dispute over Tehran’s nuclear ambitions should be resolved exclusively through diplomatic channels. Moscow criticized several Western countries for exploiting the current tensions to settle political scores, warning that such attacks risk escalating into a global nuclear catastrophe.

Earlier on Monday, the Kremlin expressed its willingness to mediate the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran, highlighting Russia’s role as a potential peacemaker in the crisis.
