Tehran, Nov 04 (V7N)- Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Monday that the country cannot reach an agreement with the United States as long as Washington continues to support Israel and maintain military bases in the Middle East. The remarks were reported by the Israeli media outlet Times of Israel.

Khamenei stated, "If the United States completely stops supporting the Zionist state, removes all military bases in the region, and stops interfering in regional affairs, then cooperation can be considered."

Meanwhile, President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran is actively rebuilding its damaged nuclear facilities, emphasizing that the country does not aim to develop nuclear weapons but seeks to protect national interests and citizens’ needs.

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi added that Iran is not interested in direct nuclear or missile talks with the United States and will not abandon its uranium enrichment program.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump warned that any attempt by Iran to restart nuclear facilities destroyed last June could prompt new military strikes.
