Dhaka, Mar 30 (V7N) – Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Jahangir Alam has assured that there is no risk of sabotage in Dhaka during the Eid holidays, as law enforcement agencies are fully prepared to handle any situation.
Speaking to reporters after visiting the National Eidgah on Sunday (March 30), he said, "Any attempt at sabotage will be prevented, and those involved will face strict action."
The Home Affairs Advisor claimed that leaders and activists of a certain political party are allegedly planning sabotage from Kolkata. He warned that action will be taken against them and that the government has measures in place to protect lives and property.
Earlier in the day, Jahangir Alam visited Kamalapur Railway Station, where he assured travelers that there was no security threat and that people could return home for Eid without fear.
He emphasized that corruption in the transport sector is being strictly monitored, ensuring that people can travel without unnecessary hassle or delays.
With law enforcement agencies on high alert, the advisor reiterated that Eid celebrations across the country will be safe and peaceful.
