Dhaka, Mar 30 (V7N) – In a display of solidarity and humanitarian aid, Bangladesh has sent 16.5 tons of relief materials to the earthquake-hit regions of Myanmar. Following the instructions of the Chief Advisor to the Interim Government, two transport planes from the Army and the Air Force are en route to Yangon, Myanmar, carrying emergency relief supplies today.
At a press briefing on Sunday afternoon, Brigadier General Mohammad Alimul Amin, Director General of the Armed Forces Division, provided details about the mission. He highlighted that the strong earthquake in Myanmar has caused severe crises in terms of food, water, and shelter across affected regions.
The relief package includes dry food, purified water, food saline, tents, mosquito nets, solar lights, and other emergency supplies aimed at alleviating the immediate hardships faced by the people of Myanmar.
This relief initiative underscores Bangladesh’s commitment to regional solidarity and its swift response to international humanitarian needs.
