Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan stated that the government will suppress criminals at any cost, emphasizing that piracy will never bring peace.

At a ceremony in RAB-7's elite hall in Patenga, Chittagong, 50 pirates, including a woman, surrendered their arms and ammunition. Khan noted that these individuals are often forced into criminal activities by local influential people.

He highlighted RAB's role in freeing the Sundarbans from pirates and the continued efforts in Chittagong and Cox's Bazar, where many pirates have surrendered.
