Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal stated that India will lead the investigation into the murder of Jhenaidah-4 MP Anwarul Azim Anar, as the incident occurred in India. Speaking to journalists on Saturday, he mentioned India’s prisoner exchange agreement with the US, noting that if India seeks Bangladesh's cooperation, it will be provided.
Kamal addressed the arrest of a murder suspect in Nepal, stating efforts are ongoing to bring the individual back. On former IGP Benazir Ahmed’s corruption allegations, he assured that legal consequences would follow based on the investigation's outcome, emphasizing that the police force's integrity remains intact.
