Dhaka, Nov 30 (V7N) — The deep depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal has intensified into Cyclone 'Finjal', currently positioned in the same region. According to the Meteorological Department, the cyclone is expected to move northwestward and make landfall on the North Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coast by Saturday evening. Its influence extends to the northern Bay of Bengal.

Weather Forecast in Bangladesh:

Rainfall: Light rain is likely in Khulna, Barisal, and Chittagong divisions. Other regions are expected to experience mainly dry weather with partly cloudy skies.

Sunday Outlook: The weather will likely remain dry across the country, with light to moderate fog expected in some areas late at night and early in the morning.

Temperature Changes:

Night temperatures will remain nearly unchanged on Monday.

Day temperatures may see a slight drop.

The next five days may witness a decrease in night temperatures by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius, indicating cooler evenings as winter approaches.

Residents in affected coastal areas are advised to remain vigilant and follow updates from the Meteorological Department as Cyclone 'Finjal' progresses toward landfall.
