Dhaka, May 02 (V7N) – The weather across Bangladesh is expected to remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies over the next 24 hours, according to the latest forecast by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD). Daytime temperatures may rise by 1–2°C, while night temperatures are likely to remain unchanged.
Isolated incidents of temporary gusty winds, lightning, and light rain or thundershowers may occur in one or two places in Barisal, Chittagong, and Sylhet divisions during this period.
Looking ahead, the BMD has provided a day-by-day forecast:

Saturday (May 3): Temporary gusty winds with lightning or thundershowers may affect isolated areas of all eight divisions: Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong, and Sylhet. Day and night temperatures are expected to remain mostly unchanged.

Sunday (May 4): Scattered gusty winds and thundershowers are likely in several areas of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, and Sylhet divisions, and in isolated areas of Barisal and Chittagong. A slight drop in day temperatures is expected, while night temperatures are likely to remain stable.

Monday (May 5) and Tuesday (May 6): Brief rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds may occur in isolated parts of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong, and Sylhet divisions. On Monday, temperatures may rise slightly, with a more noticeable increase of 1–2°C in both day and night temperatures forecasted for Tuesday.
BMD added that both day and night temperatures may rise further toward the end of the forecast period, indicating a return to warmer conditions across the country.
