Dhaka, Sep 22 (V7N) – The capital experienced incessant rainfall from Sunday night through early Monday morning, leaving large parts of the city waterlogged and disrupting daily life.

According to the Meteorological Department, rainfall continued until 7:00 am, accompanied by thunder and lightning. Heavy downpours left roads submerged in several key areas, including Mirpur, Green Road, Mohammadpur, and the Airport vicinity.

The flooding caused widespread suffering for schoolchildren, college students, and office-goers. Many vehicles broke down after water seeped into their engines, while commuters complained about overcharging by rickshaw-pullers and CNG-run auto-rickshaw drivers.

The weather forecast indicates that cloudy skies, intermittent rain, and thundershowers are likely to persist throughout the day in Dhaka and surrounding regions. Officials also noted that daytime temperatures may dip slightly due to the continuous rainfall.
