The Meteorological Office has forecasted rainfall or thundershowers in various regions of Bangladesh, providing potential relief from the ongoing severe heatwave.

According to a release from the Met office on Saturday, rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty/squally winds, are expected in a few places over the Sylhet division and one or two places over the Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barisal, and Chittagong divisions. Additionally, isolated areas may experience hail during this period.

Despite this, a mild to moderate heatwave is anticipated to persist in Dhaka, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Barisal, Khulna, Moulvibazar, and Chandpur divisions.

The weather is expected to remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies in other parts of the country. Day and night temperatures are likely to remain relatively unchanged throughout Bangladesh.

In the capital, Dhaka, the sun is set to set at 6:29 pm on Saturday and rise at 5:21 am on Sunday.
