In seven divisions, including Dhaka, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department forecast rain or thundershowers today along with brief gusts or squalls of wind. 
 
"Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind are likely to occur at a few places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions, with hail at isolated places," it stated. 
 
A meteorological report states that a mild to moderate heat wave is affecting the divisions of Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, and Barishal and that it may lessen in certain areas.
 
In certain parts of the nation, there may be brief periods of partially overcast skies mixed with mostly dry weather. Over Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, day and nighttime temperatures may drop somewhat, but they will essentially stay the same elsewhere in the nation. 
 
The nation's highest recorded temperature on Saturday was 39.7 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi, while Bandarban had the lowest temperature of 21.2 degrees Celsius today. 
 
Rainfall in Mymensingh for the last 24 hours, up to this morning at 6 AM, was reported at 83 mm. In the capital, the sun rises at 5:21 AM tomorrow and sets at 6:29 PM today.
