Fishermen were injured in Teknaf Shahpori Island area of Cox's Bazar when they were fired by the Myanmar Navy on their way back after catching fish from the sea. While one of the injured was treated at Teknaf Health Complex, the condition of the other was critical and was sent to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital for better treatment.

The injured fishermen are Mohammed Ismail, son of Ali Ahmed and Mohammed Faruk son of Siddique Ahmed resident of Teknaf Cox's Bazar Bangladesh. 

The firing incident took place on Sunday April 21 around 10:30 am in Bay of Bengal and Naf River Naikongdia area Bangladesh. 

Teknaf Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohmmed Osman Goni confirmed this information to Voice7 News.
