A young Rohingya man is said to have been killed at the Ukhiya Rohingya camp in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh.The corpse was retrieved by Ukhia police station with assistance from the camp administration, and it was transferred to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem.
Noor Kalam, a 29-year-old inhabitant of Rohingya Camp No. 19 in Ukhiya and the son of Noor Salam, was the deceased.
Around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 5, the event happened in the vicinity of the Red Crescent Office in the M-17 Block of Rohingya Camp No. 18 in Ukhiya.
The veracity was confirmed by OC Shamim Hossain, the officer in charge (OC) of the Ukhia police station.
Noor Kamal, a Rohingya who lived in Rohingya Camp No. 19 in Ukhiya, is rumoured to have been abducted by a bunch of terrorists and taken to the western Rohingya camp. There, he massacred them. After that, the terrorists fled the area.
Following the event, Ukhia Police Station, came to the scene, removed the corpse, and transported it to the Ukhia Police Station.
According to Shamim Hossain, the officer-in-charge (OC) of the Ukhia police station, the deceased people's remains have been recovered and are being postmortem at Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital. As of yet no complaints have been made.
