Ukhiya, Sep 11 (V7N) - In separate shooting incidents at Rohingya camps in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar, two people were killed and another was critically injured. The bodies have been sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital for autopsies, and additional police forces have been deployed within the camps following the violence.
 
The victims have been identified as Rahmat Ullah (25), son of Abdul Gani from Camp 20, and Imam Hossain (39), son of Abul Kalam from Camp 4. The injured individual, Abdullah (31), son of Hamid Hossain from Camp 20, is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
 
The incidents occurred early Wednesday morning (September 11) in Kutupalong’s Camp 20 and Camp 4. Tensions between rival groups have led to frequent gunfire, causing panic among the Rohingya community.
 
Ukhiya Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shamim Hossain confirmed the incidents, while 14 Armed Police Battalion Commander (Additional DIG) Mohammad Iqbal assured that the situation in the camps has stabilized.
