Two members of a fraud ring that specializes in using account hacking to swindle Mastercard and Visa cards are detained by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Bangladesh Police.

As to a CID media statement on Friday, the two individuals who were taken into custody were Md. Rabiul Mia and Nazrul Islam. They are both residents of Bhanga upazila in Faridpur, but were taken into custody in Dinajpur.

The fraud 2 members was taken into custody on Thursday by the CID's cybercrime squad after they were tipped off, it continued.

Ten working SIM cards and five cell phone sets were taken out of their hands during the raid.

As to the statement, the majority of SIM cards are registered under false names.
