Brahmanbaria, Feb 04 (V7N) — The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has confiscated 2,120 high-end Indian mobile phone displays in a raid near the Brahmanbaria border. The estimated market value of the seized items is over Tk 15 million.

On Tuesday, a patrol team from the Brahmanbaria Transit Camp, operating under the Sarail Battalion (25 BGB), conducted the raid in Ibrahimpur, Bijoynagar Upazila, based on intelligence inputs. The location of the seizure was approximately five kilometers inside Bangladesh, from border pillar 2001/MP.

The BGB confirmed that the seized mobile phone displays, valued at Tk 1.60 crore, will be deposited at the Akhaura Customs Office as per legal procedures.

This operation is part of the ongoing efforts by the BGB to prevent illegal smuggling activities along the Bangladesh-India border. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to intensifying border surveillance to curb the infiltration of unauthorized goods into the country.
