Tangail, Mar 19 (V7N)– The Tangail District Road Safety Committee convened a meeting on Wednesday morning, March 19, to address traffic congestion and ensure safe travel for those returning home for Eid-ul-Fitr 2025.

The meeting, held in the conference room of the District Commissioner's office, focused on strategies to alleviate traffic bottlenecks and enhance road safety during the busy Eid travel period.

Tangail Deputy Commissioner Sharifa Haque chaired the meeting, which was attended by key officials, including Deputy Director of Local Government District Md. Shihab Raihan, Additional Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Rakibul Hasan Russell, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Abdullah Al Mamun, and Additional District Magistrate Md. Mahbub Hasan. Leaders of the Bus Owners Association and representatives from various district departments also participated.

Discussions centered on crucial measures to mitigate traffic congestion and facilitate a smooth and secure journey for travelers. The committee addressed potential challenges and explored collaborative solutions to ensure road safety during the Eid holiday.

The meeting highlights the proactive efforts of local authorities to manage the anticipated surge in traffic and prioritize the safety of citizens during the festive season.
