Jhenaidah, Apr 03 (V7N) — Bangladesh's Attorney General Md Asaduzzaman on Wednesday accused former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of engaging in an "anti-state conspiracy" from India and vowed to continue trials against individuals linked to the previous government.

Speaking at a college reunion event in Jhenaidah, Asaduzzaman alleged that Hasina, who was ousted from power, had fled to India before her government fell. "No matter how much conspiracies she hatches, we will bring the fascist murderers to justice," he said.

The attorney general also referenced the so-called July Uprising, a political shift that removed Hasina’s administration from power, and insisted that those responsible for crimes under the previous government must face legal action.

"A week before Sheikh Hasina fled to India by helicopter, she gave the signal to her relatives to leave the country," he claimed. "She and all her relatives fled, leaving thousands of Awami League leaders and activists in danger."

Asaduzzaman called for a social movement against corruption and pledged that trials would continue, even if external pressures arose. "Even if it costs our lives, we will hold these trials. No advice from Delhi can hinder Bangladesh’s judicial system," he said.

The remarks were made during the first reunion program of Jarip Biswas Degree College. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Islamic University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah.

Hasina or her representatives have not yet responded to the allegations.
