A three-member delegation from the British Council recently met with the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Rajshahi University (RU), Prof Golam Sabbir Sattar, to discuss and devise strategies aimed at enhancing collaboration between the two entities. The delegation, led by Bangladesh Programme Director of British Council David Nox, included Head of Arts Sadia Rahman and Arts Executive Mustafizur Rahman. During the meeting, the parties explored various development activities at RU supported by the British Council.

Notably, David Nox expressed the British Council's interest in extending support for the collection, preservation, and overall development of Varendra Research Museum, to which VC Prof Golam Sabbir Sattar expressed a warm welcome. The delegation head assured the VC that detailed activities in this regard would commence soon.

The meeting was attended by RU Pro-VCs Prof Sultan-Ul-Islam and Prof Humayun Kabir, Registrar Prof Tariqul Hassan, Director of Institute of English and other languages Prof Abdullah Al Mamun, Proctor Prof Asabul Haque, Director of Office of International Affairs Prof Azizur Rahman, and Director of Varendra Research Museum Prof Imtiaz Ahmed.
