Country music artist Morgan Wallen has broken his silence following his recent arrest for throwing a chair off the roof of a Broadway bar in Nashville earlier this month.

In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), Wallen expressed regret for his behavior and indicated that he has reached out to law enforcement, his family, and the staff at Chief's bar to make amends. He acknowledged that he was not proud of his actions and accepted responsibility, emphasizing his respect for the officers who work to ensure public safety.

Wallen, 30, was arrested on charges of felony reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct after allegedly throwing a chair from the rooftop bar of Chief’s, nearly hitting two Metro Nashville Police officers standing below on Broadway. Witnesses reported seeing Wallen pick up a chair, toss it over the roof, and laugh about it.

According to Wallen's arrest affidavit, the chair landed just three feet away from the officers. Bar staff, witnesses, and security footage all corroborated the reported incident.

Wallen's attorney, Worrick Robinson, confirmed that Wallen is fully cooperating with authorities. Despite his upcoming court appearance on May 3, which coincides with his scheduled performances at Nissan Stadium, Wallen stated in his message that there will be no change to his tour plans.
