DU, Dec 22, (V7N) - A discussion meeting was held on Saturday in Dhaka to mark the birth anniversary of Hazrat Fatema Zahra (S.A), a day celebrated as Women’s Day in Iran.

Hazrat Fatema Zahra (S.A), the daughter of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), is regarded as one of the most influential and revered women in Islamic history.

The event, titled "Hazrat Fatema Zahra (S.A.): Role Model for All Women of the World," was jointly organized by the Cultural Centre of the Iranian Embassy in Dhaka and the Zahra Association. It took place at the Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury Auditorium in the Faculty of Social Sciences Building at the University of Dhaka.

Seyed Reza Mirmohammadi, the Cultural Counsellor of the Iranian Embassy in Dhaka, was present as the chief guest. The special guests included Professor Dr. Nusrat Fatema, a professor in the Department of Islamic History and Culture at the University of Dhaka, and Dr. Ishrat Jahan Epa, an eye specialist and Assistant Registrar at the Lions Eye Institute and Hospital.

The programme was chaired by Selina Parvin, the Chairperson of the Zahra Association.

The event focused on discussing the exemplary life of Hazrat Fatema Zahra (S.A), emphasizing her role as a role model for women worldwide. The speakers highlighted her significant contributions in various fields, including her strong character, leadership qualities, and unwavering faith.
