DHAKA, April 1, (V7N) – A 55-member rescue and medical team from Bangladesh arrived in Nay Pyi Taw around 2 PM today to provide humanitarian aid to the earthquake-affected people of Myanmar.

The team was transported on two C-130J and one CASA C-295W flights, carrying 15 metric tons of relief materials, including:

4.2 metric tons of medicines and medical supplies

Tents

Dry food

According to a message from the Bangladesh Embassy in Myanmar, Bangladesh Ambassador Dr. M Monwar Hossain handed over the relief materials to U Kyaw Tun, Ambassador-at-Large of Myanmar's Foreign Ministry. Brigadier General Md Aftab Hossain, Defence Adviser of the Bangladesh Embassy, was also present at the ceremony.

This follows an earlier consignment of 16.5 metric tons of relief that Bangladesh sent on March 30, 2025, via two flights.
