It's a blue sea that tourists are loving. Go down to the gorgeous Niketan Sea to breach the dam instead of staying in the mechanised city's existence. The Cox's Bazar beach saw such a spectacle.
Eid occurs on Thursday (april-11), and as the day goes on, more and more tourists arrive. There are thousands of people on the beach from dawn to midday, afternoon, and dusk. The quantity of local visitors was also good, in addition to the number of tourists.
Following the Eid holiday and the extreme heat in Dhaka, Mohammad Abdullah and his wife, Morjina Akhtar, from Uttara, Dhaka, travelled to Cox's Bazar for three days with their two boys. Everything is OK, they said. "I feel like I'm lying on a water chest all day," Bogra resident Ashab Uddin remarked, "and once I go into the sea, I don't want to get up again." Currently, Mainuddin, a Sirajganj visitor, stated that while the beach could be maintained cleaner and hawkers removed from it, the security mechanism is enough.
Meanwhile, hoteliers said that even if tourists do not come as expected on the day of Eid, almost all the hotels on the coast will be 100% booked in the next two to three days.
General Secretary of Tour Operators Association of Cox's Bazar (TUAC) Nurul Kabir Pasha Pallab said that on the day of Eid, 30 percent of the rooms have been booked in the rest of the hotels, except the star quality hotels, but he expects good business on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There are 10 star hotels in Cox's Bazar city. There are also about five hundred hotels, motels and guesthouses.
On the other hand, the district administration has given instructions to the hotel owners to stop charging excessive prices or any kind of harassment from the tourists.
Deputy Commissioner of Cox's Bazar, Muhammad Shaheen Imran said, a meeting has already been held with the hoteliers, instructions have been given not to charge extra room rent, improper price of food from the tourists and there will be a vigilance team led by the magistrates, if any complaint is found, action will be taken.
