As part of the ceremonial inauguration of her government for the fourth time in a row and the fifth overall, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's new Cabinet honoured Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at his mausoleum on Saturday.

First, the prime minister laid a wreath at Bangabandhu's tomb at Tungipara as a sign of respect.

The last post was played by a bugle, and a state salute was given by a well-groomed detachment representing the three services.

With the Awami League president Hasina by her side, she laid a second wreath at the tomb altar, flanked by her new cabinet colleagues.

Later, she laid another wreath, this time honouring the leaders of Tungipara and Kotalipara.
